Job Description
Core purpose of the role The Key Accounts Manager is required to create and maintain relationships with potential and existing customers that result in the acquisition and growth of Avis share in the market and retention of customers as well as meet or exceed New Business Targets set for individual. Key deliverables and outputsRevenue ManagementPlan approach to meet annual forecasts in line with the KPI’s and business objectives/goals Achieve and grow rate per day and billed days as per target for car rentalAssist Credit Control Department in collection of overdue payments in line with portfolio target setEvaluate pricing to ensure that it meets the company’s profitability targets and present to the customers Grow revenue in line with business targets for Avis Identify new business opportunities via different channels i.e. direct, Travel Management Company (TMC), website, cold calling tools, referrals, general media, Government Tender media as well as meet or exceed the individual targets set for New BusinessCustomer Management and AdministrationConduct timeous business reviews with all major customers and include Executives where relevant Conduct timeous rate renegotiations prior to rate expiry Manage the existing client base based on customer satisfaction indicators (NPS) and targets Manage and implement relevant partnerships/ corporate agreementsResponsible for onboarding, presenting and reporting to new customersPlan and manage face-to-face customer meetings are in line with call frequency standardsUpdate and inform all customers with regards to all products available and functional processes Identify and analyse lost accounts and plan approach for reacquisitionManage the Sales Force (CRM Tool) effectively in line with the sales requirements Collate all the necessary supporting documents for opening an account (credit facility) and submit it to the finance department in line with processes and procedures Collate information and create proposals in line with the business standardsAttend to any customer queries or issues and escalate when necessary Identify, build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure client satisfaction and future growth ReportingPrepare and submit monthly client and boards reports timeouslyPrepare and submit weekly pipeline reports timeouslyGenerate and present monthly aged system reports Collate data to assist the manager in preparing for the managerial reports for submission to EXCOInternal and External StakeholdersThe role requires close engagement and collaboration with key internal and external stakeholdersAcademic Qualifications Essential: NQF Level 4 Qualification (Grade 12)Valid Driver’s License.Advantageous: NQF Level 5/6/7 Qualification in Marketing/Communications or similar.Work ExperienceEssential:2-3 Years’ Experience within the Sales environmentAdvantageous:1-2 Years’ Experience in a Rental / Fleet environmentNote: This role may be required to travel from time to time. This role may be required to work overtime/after hours from time to time.
