Job Description

Job DescriptionThe Plant Manager will oversee and manage all aspects of plant and machinery operations, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and cost-efficiency. In this role, you will be responsible for the acquisition, maintenance, and lifecycle management of equipment and machinery used in engineering projects. Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Oversight: Manage daily operations of plant and machinery across multiple sites. Ensure machinery is operating efficiently and safely. Coordinate with site managers to meet project requirements. Maintenance & ComplianceDevelop and implement preventative maintenance schedules. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Troubleshoot equipment faults and oversee repairs.

Asset ManagementMaintain accurate records of plant and machinery inventory. Oversee procurement, hire, and disposal of equipment. Conduct cost-benefit analysis for hire vs. buy decisions. Team LeadershipSupervise and train plant operatives and maintenance staff. Conduct performance reviews and identify training needs. Foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement. Strategic PlanningAlign plant operations with company goals and project timelines. Monitor KPIs and implement process improvements. Manage budgets related to plant operations and maintenance. QualificationsPrevious experience in plant/machinery management within engineering or construction. Technical knowledge of heavy machinery and equipment. Familiarity with asset management systems and maintenance software.

Proven leadership and decision-making skills. Excellent organizational and planning abilities. Proficiency in MS Office and asset management tools.
