Back-End Engineer (Entry Level)

Job SummaryWork closely with the Game Development team consisting of artists, sound designers, mathematicians and game designers to implement and refine new game ideas in the development of best-in-class casino games. The successful candidate will be someone who is keen to solve problems, optimize performance, and improve reliability in all aspects of our technology stack and processes. Responsibilities All aspects of back-end server programming systems including design and analysis, coding, testing, debugging, deployment and maintenance. Interaction with and programming of relational and NoSQL database systems.

Development of efficient code and scalable database structures in order to support high server request volumes. Developing and maintaining continuous integration build pipelines to bridge the gap between code and final deployment. Gathering scope and objectives from design and client requirements. Researching new technology where necessary to meet business needs. Qualifications Required Experience developing in Java. Experience working with Database technologies. Basic knowledge of common web development languages (e. g. JavaScript, CSS, HTML, JQuery, Ajax). Basic knowledge of and experience working with Linux based systems. Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related field preferred.

Experience working with AWS, SVN, Docker, Jenkins, Angular. js preferred. Candidates must have excellent organizational skills, good oral and written communications skills, and a high level of interpersonal skills. Must be a self-motivated team player with the ability to work in a customer oriented, fast-paced, and demanding environment. Ability to bring projects to completion with minimal supervision. Must be able to meet or exceed set project milestones and deadlines.
