Where making an impact matters. As part of the Regulatory Change Oversight team, you’ll be at the forefront of how we manage and respond to regulatory change across the bank. You’ll provide a full-picture view of all upcoming and in-flight delivery of regulatory changes, ensuring we meet compliance deadlines, identify emerging risks, and engage the right people at the right time.

This role is all about the initiation stage—understanding what’s coming down the pipeline, assessing its impact on our technology, policies, frameworks, customers, and people, and setting up the work for successful delivery by other teams. You’ll also help shape the guidance for how Kiwibank delivers regulatory change—defining what good looks like, and when to engage legal, compliance, and delivery teams. What You’ll Be DoingUnderstanding the New Zealand regulatory landscape and assessing the potential impact of changes on Kiwibank. Leading early-stage analysis to determine the size, complexity, and timing of change initiatives.

Engaging with stakeholders across the bank to ensure the right business ownership and alignment across scope, planning and readiness activities. Creating and maintaining reporting for senior management on regulatory change being delivered across various teams, identifying progress against planned work, risks, and challenges. Developing and refining the framework for regulatory change delivery across Kiwibank, including key checkpoints and engagement models. Working in ambiguity—interpreting draft regulations and anticipating how they may be implemented in New Zealand. Ko t?tou t?nei. Kia h?pai i ? p?kenga |This is us. Where your expertise matters.

At Kiwibank, we will help you build on your strengths and learn new skills, but in the meantime, we would love to hear from you if you have some of the following: Experience in Banking or Financial Services industry with risk or risk adjacent expertise. Proven experience in regulatory change, ideally within financial services. A strategic mindset with the ability to connect the dots between regulation, business impact, and delivery. Experience working in grey areas—comfortable interpreting draft or evolving regulations. The ability to distil complex information for a range of audiences. Strong project delivery and stakeholder management skills.

Collaborative, organised, and comfortable managing competing priorities. Excellent ability to engage and influence a broad range of stakeholders.
