Job Description

To meet an exciting, expanding, yet complex and demanding future, we are seeking new colleagues to contribute to the future of underwater acoustic systems. In the Transducer Development department we are designing the electro-acoustic transducers for Kongsberg Discovery products; sonars, echosounder, and multi beams for seabed mapping and underwater communication equipment. As manager of our R&D team, you will contribute to the development of new and exciting products, by building and maintaining the best team of multi-disciplinary development engineers.

You will be collaborating with product management and projects within our whole product rangeThe RnD team consists of 10-15 engineers with deep knowledge in acoustic- and mechanical design which is the core and backbone of our products. The team specify requirements and design together with both the sales team and designers to develop new solutions for our product range. Our products are used in several demanding underwater operations within research, energy and security worldwide. Our products consist of GUI, signal processing, sensor integration, electronics, electro acoustic transducers and mechanical modules.

Qualifications And Skills Bachelor or Master degree in technical skills, economics, or administration. Demonstrated cooperation, responsibility, and proactive behavior. Result-driven and solution-oriented mindset. Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Structured and reliable Proven experience in leadership or management roles. Experience working in international organizations. Relevant track record of leading and managing teams. This employment may require security clearance by the Norwegian National Security Authority, clearance through Civil Aviation Authority or a background check.
