ELEM & ELGO SWEDEN AB provides consulting, design, and engineering services for power and technical infrastructure projects, from feasibility studies to construction supervision.We are seeking an experienced and qualified WOODEN POLE DESIGN SPECIALIST / Structural Consultant for an urgent contract engagement related to a critical 130 kV tender.Project Focus: The project involves the design of a new 130 kV Transmission Line in Sweden, with a primary need for expertise in the mechanical design of complex line sections utilising:Wooden Poles (Double Wooden Structures): Required for the majority of the line. Composite poles may also be considered as an option.Consultant Scope of Work:Mechanical dimensioning and structural design of 130 kV wooden portal structures (including calculations for wind, ice, and short-circuit forces) according to relevant Swedish standards.Production of all necessary technical documentation, drawings, and specifications required for the tender submission and subsequent execution phase.Ensuring full technical compliance with all electrical and structural standards for this voltage level.Work is primarily remote, with occasional site visits required for terrain assessment and project meetings.Required Qualifications & Competence (Mandatory):The consultant must meet the following mandatory requirements, and the application must include a brief description of how these are fulfilled:Mandatory Experience: A minimum of 5 years of documented experience as a Wooden Pole Structural Designer ('Konstruktör Trästolpar').Breadth & Complexity: Possess long/broad experience in the field, having participated in large assignments across various areas, and be capable of independently executing assignments of high complexity.Comprehensive Design Expertise: Extensive experience in structural design and working within technical project environments. This includes:Developing pole types and performing strength calculations and geometric design for poles made of naturally grown wood.Dimensioning accessories for poles and conductors according to current standards.Standards Knowledge: Good knowledge regarding BAS-P/U knowledge and familiarity with AMA (Allmän Material och Arbetsbeskrivning) as a description technique.Proof of Requirement: Please list specific projects or assignments from your CV that clearly substantiate this mandatory 5-year experience requirement.To apply, please submit your CV and the required written substantiation proving your expertise, specifically focusing on wooden portal pole line projects.Fluency in Swedish and English
