This role involves providing over-the-phone medical interpretation (OPI) to support clinical interactions such as consultations, follow-ups, and urgent care communications. We’re looking for dedicated professionals with a strong commitment to accuracy, ethics, and cultural sensitivity.ResponsibilitiesAccurately interpret conversations between korean-speaking patients and English-speaking healthcare providersEnsure confidentiality, neutrality, and professionalism at all timesUse appropriate medical terminology and remain informed on healthcare proceduresComply with HIPAA and the Interpreter Code of EthicsHandle calls calmly and efficiently across various medical contextsMaintain availability during scheduled shifts and participate in coaching or QA sessions as neededQualificationsNative or near-native fluency in Korean and EnglishMinimum 1 year of professional medical interpreting experience (OPI or VRI preferred)Strong understanding of medical vocabulary, interpreter standards, and confidentiality practicesHigh school diploma or equivalent (college education is a plus)Excellent active listening, memory, and note-taking skillsMust pass a language proficiency test and background checkRemote Work RequirementsWired Ethernet connection (Wi-Fi is not permitted)Minimum 10 Mbps internet speed (download/upload)Computer/laptop with: Wired USB noise-cancelling headsetQuiet, professional home work environmentCompletion of a technical check with our support teamHow to ApplyIf you’re a qualified interpreter seeking a reliable full-time remote role, we’d love to hear from you.
