Job DescriptionThe Supply Chain Director will report to the Managing Director based in Singapore, work closely with the Senior Management team, and be actively involved in company’s strategic planning activities. This is a critical leadership hire.
The successful candidate must have prior supply chain experience in China and to be prepared to be based full-time in Shanghai for the first 12 months of employment to lead on-the-ground operations and build the supply chain foundation.
Key ResponsibilitiesDrive end-to-end supply chain operations, including sourcing, procurement, inventory, production, and distributionShape and execute supply chain strategy to support aggressive growth targetsEnhance inventory management, production efficiency, and delivery performanceDevelop and implement policies and processes to improve operational consistency and qualityLead production planning, procurement, logistics, and supplier performance managementPartner with product development to assess supply viability and cost implicationsImplement supply chain technology solutions to improve visibility and automationBuild and lead the supply chain team, ensuring succession and contingency planningCollaborate with senior leadership on business planning and executionThe Successful ApplicantApplicants for the Supply Chain Director role will have the following attributes:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in supply chain, operations, or related fieldsMinimum of 15 years of related supply chain experience, including at least 5 years of experience in a leadership capacityProven experience managing supply chain in China is requiredWillingness to relocate full-time to Shanghai for the first year is essentialStrategic, growth-oriented mindset with entrepreneurial driveStrong leadership, decision-making, and stakeholder management skillsExcellent writing, presentation, communication skills in MandarinProficient in process improvement (Lean, Six Sigma) and analytical problem-solvingDeep understanding of supply chain systems, supplier management, and logistics
