Plan, schedule, and prioritize work orders to meet daily, weekly, and project deadlines. Monitor workflow to ensure efficient use of materials, machines, and manpower. Quality Control Ensure all products meet quality standards and project specifications. Conduct inspections at various production stages and address non-conformities promptly. Target Achievement Ensure production targets are achieved within specified time frames. Analyse production reports and implement corrective actions to address delays.
New Product Oversight Supervise the fabrication and testing of new products and prototypes as per design requirements. Provide feedback to management on improvements during the production of new products. AutoCAD and Fabrication Drawings Read and interpret AutoCAD drawings accurately for production and fabrication requirements. Create or modify fabrication drawings as necessary for projects, ensuring dimensional accuracy and material suitability. Coordinate with the design team to resolve drawing-related issues before and during production. Site Measurements Take accurate site measurements for projects to ensure correct fabrication dimensions and fitting.
Staff Supervision & Training Train and guide new staff on fabrication processes, machine operation, safety procedures, and quality standards. Allocate tasks to team members and monitor their performance. Safety and Compliance Enforce safety protocols and ensure the production area is compliant with health and safety standards. Address and report any safety incidents immediately. Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution Assist in resolving employee concerns and conflicts within the production team. Support in resolving customer issues related to fabrication as per manager’s instructions. Resource Management Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and request procurement as needed.
Ensure proper maintenance and care of fabrication equipment. Reporting Maintain daily production logs and report progress to the Production Manager. Suggest process improvements for efficiency and quality enhancement. ________________________________________Qualifications Minimum 4–5 years of experience in a fabrication supervisor or similar role within the steel, stainless steel, or metal fabrication industry. Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field (preferred). Proficient in reading and understanding AutoCAD drawings; knowledge of creating or modifying fabrication drawings is required. Good knowledge of fabrication processes, material handling, and machine operations. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to handle site measurements and project-based fabrication requirements as needed. Commitment to quality, safety, and timely delivery.
