For more information, go toOverview Of The Contracts AssistantWe are seeking a Contracts Assistant to join our Americas in-house legal team. Reporting to the Associate General Counsel – Americas, this is an intellectually demanding role ideal for a smart, self-motivated individual who is interested in pursuing a legal career. This role will work across various functions and areas, including compliance, legal operations, and data privacy. This position also works closely with our experienced legal team in a dynamic in-house legal environment.

It is particularly well-suited to candidates looking to strengthen their legal and business acumen. ResponsibilitiesDraft, review, and finalize a variety of commercial contracts, including non-disclosure agreements, engagement letters, master services agreements, and statements of work. Manage contract workflows from intake through execution and archiving using internal tracking systems. Maintain, update, and report on contract data and metrics. Track contract status and proactively communicate updates to legal and business stakeholders. Collaborate with cross-functional departments, such as Finance and HR, to support firm-wide initiatives and compliance. Conduct legal research and generate compliance materials.

Assist in the development of templates and internal policies, and contribute to process optimization projects. Support the legal team in scheduling, preparing documents for, and coordinating legal meetings and training sessions. Participate in strategic legal initiatives that impact L. E. K. ’s business operations, governance, and risk profile. Qualifications And ExperienceBachelor’s degree from a top-tier accredited institution with a record of academic excellence. 1-3 years of relevant professional experience; prior experience in a law firm, in-house legal team, or professional services firm is preferred.

Strong interest in pursuing a legal career; ideal for candidates planning to apply to law school. Demonstrates intellectual agility, attention to detail, and sound judgment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize and present information clearly and professionally. Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Proactive, independent, and eager to contribute to both tactical and strategic workstreams.
