For more information, go toOverview Of The Procurement FunctionWe are seeking a strategic and collaborative Procurement Manager to create and implement Americas procurement function. With significant indirect category spend across the organization, this role will be critical to help scale both internal functions and our consulting teams with the proper tools as LEK continues to grow. While this role will report to the Finance Director in North America, it will have heavy interaction with sector leaders, Americas Chief Operating Officer and other functional leaders.
This role will play a critical part in aligning vendor strategy with business objectives, building a structured sourcing framework, and introducing policies that empower functional leaders. You will be a key liaison across business units, responsible for creating and elevating procurement’s value proposition and shaping how we manage indirect spend organization-wide.
Responsibilities Lead the procurement of indirect categories such as professional services, software/SaaS, marketing, facilities, data and research, and corporate tools Develop and execute sourcing strategies that optimize cost, quality, service, and risk Work with business unit leaders to understand needs and align vendor selection with enterprise goals Build and maintain a preferred supplier or vendor framework and manage critical supplier relationships Partner with leaders across Finance, Legal, IT, Marketing, HR, Solutions, and Operations to drive alignment on procurement priorities Act as the strategic procurement advisor in cross-departmental initiatives, guiding spend decisions and vendor engagement Work with Legal function to identify, develop and maintain contract and spend management system Design and implement a scalable sourcing process, from intake through contract execution Define delegation of authority and decision rights policies to streamline approvals while ensuring compliance Establish procurement workflows, templates, and documentation standards Collaborate with Finance to build and operationalize a spend cube to track and visualize active spend across the company Engage with legal to ensure consistent commercial terms Monitor category-level performance, supplier compliance, and cost-saving initiatives Continue to manage and assess current vendor intake process Contribute to budget planning, forecasting, and spend governance Ensure sourcing activities adhere to company policies and regulatory standards Identify supplier risks and build mitigation plans for high-impact categories Coordinate with Legal and Finance on contract terms, financial exposure, and audit readinessQualifications And Experience5+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or vendor management, with a focus on indirect categoriesPrior experience with midsize corporation or prior procurement consulting experience preferredDemonstrated success in building and managing procurement processes from the ground upStrong understanding of vendor strategy, supplier negotiations, and policy governanceExperience working with cross-functional stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadershipExperience in helping implement strategic plans into achievable impact with alignment to the proper vendorsAbility to influence leaders to prioritize requirements in software, systems and vendor needsProficiency in procurement tools and analytics (e.

In Illinois the base salary is between $130,000-$150,000 (USD); placement within this range will vary based on experience and skill level. L. E. K. also offers a performance bonus, profit sharing and other benefits.
