Job DescriptionPosition: Editorial Specialist (Full-Time)Department: MarketingFLSA Grade: Non-ExemptSalary: $27/hour (40 hours/week)Position SummaryThe Editorial Specialist, reporting to the Editorial Director, is a detail-oriented music aficionado, excellent writer, and sharp-eyed editor who is a vital part of our Editorial team. The Editorial Specialist is an adaptable team player who can support the Editorial department in the production of both online and printed materials, including program books, and the Communications department in executing institutional messages.

Position ElementsOriginates billboards for program bookAssists in sourcing and editing artist bios and program notesHelps manage copy flow, liaising with copyeditor, graphic designer, LA Phil digital staff, and freelance writers on occasionHelps coordinate routing materials for proofreading and approvalsProofreads editorial materials and other materials as neededAssists in copywriting as neededAssists Senior Director, Communications in writing and editing institutional messages Other duties as assignedRelationshipsReports To: Editorial DirectorInteracts With: Creative ServicesDigitalMarketingPublic RelationsJob RequirementsPosition Requirements:
