Lab Engineer

As a Lab Engineer, you will be responsible for independently operating and maintaining mass spectrometry instrumentation. You will plan and execute analyses, develop and validate new methods, and analyze and interpret the resulting data. Your work will also include routine maintenance of the equipment as well as preparation of samples and reagents. You will play a key role in developing, optimizing, and executing LC-MS workflows for quantitative proteomics, spanning targeted (MRM/PRM) and untargeted (DDA/DIA) methods. You will also contribute to product development of new targets and panels as well as the generation of marketing material such as tech notes and application examples, often in close collaboration with external partners from academia and the life science industry. The role also includes molecular biology and protein biochemistry tasks supporting product development as well as production and QC of our commercially available products. Typical responsibilities include: • Setting up and running LC-MS/MS experiments for absolute quantification of proteins in complex biological samples. • Processing and analyzing raw data, including quantitation and interpretation in the context of biomarker discovery. • Supporting assay development, optimization, and validation activities using heavy-labeled standards. • Performing molecular biology and protein biochemistry workflows such as: − Recombinant protein expression and purification − Cell cultivation and sample preparation − SDS-PAGE analysis • Contributing to documentation, quality routines, and method transfer activities. • Collaborating with academic and industrial partners.
