Lab Technician

The OpportunityAvantor is looking for a motivated and proactive Laboratory Technician to join our laboratory-based team in Mölndal. In this role, you will take ownership of laboratory support activities in compliance with GMP standards, including equipment maintenance, reagent preparation, and supply management.This is a full-time, permanent position based at our customer’s site in Mölndal. The team is dedicated to providing operational support to laboratories on-site.You’ll be part of our Lab and Production Services department, which supports leading pharmaceutical companies and laboratories worldwide, helping to advance research and development in the Life Sciences industry.ExperienceWhat we’re looking forKnowledge of Health & Safety, laboratory operations and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) is advantageousUnderstanding & experience of customer-facing service, including roles in hospitality, retail, or warehouse settings. Awareness of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Strong IT proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and inventory/tracking systemsExcellent time-management skills and attention to detailFluent in Swedish and EnglishHow You'll Thrive And Create An ImpactPerform routine laboratory support tasks, including equipment checks, reagent preparation, and general housekeeping, in compliance with GMP and Health & Safety standardsManage laboratory supplies, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to regulatory requirementsConduct preventative maintenance on laboratory equipment to ensure operational efficiency and complianceLaundry management duties, distributing clean lab coats and ordering new ones as requiredMaintain the supply of the laboratory chemicals, solvents, plates, purchased media and consumables across multiple labs.Using electronic lab notebooks, ensuring accurate batch records and traceabilityDisclaimerThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this classification.
