Unijobs on behalf of our public sector client, are currently recruiting for a Laboratory ICT Systems Support Administrator for 43 weeks initially with the possibility of extension thereafter.This role is fully onsite, based in Dublin 8. Working 35 hours per week the successful candidate will be employed as an agency employee.The hourly rate will be based off an annualised salary of €56,000 - €58,000. The successful candidate will accrue annual leave and paid Bank Holidays.Purpose of the RoleThe Laboratory ICT Systems Support Administrator will provide technical and administrative support for Laboratory ICT systems across the LabMed Directorate. The role is central to maintaining and developing ICT infrastructure, ensuring operational excellence, system reliability, and compliance with ISO 15189 standards. The postholder will support existing systems (including Telepath, EPR, PAS, Healthlink, middleware) and contribute to the planning, procurement, and implementation of new ICT initiatives.Eligibility CriteriaEach candidate, on the latest date for receiving completed applications, must:IT related Level 6 Qualification or above is requiredandPossess sufficient administrative capacity to discharge the functions of the gradeDesirable:• Management course• Two years relevant ICT experienceDuties And Responsibilities1. OperationsDeliver the highest standard of technical expertise and support for existing Laboratory ICT systems.Support the development, procurement, and implementation of new laboratory-related ICT systems and projects.Liaise closely with the IMS Directorate, Laboratory ICT Manager, Laboratory teams, and other hospital departments.Work independently and collaboratively, reporting to the Laboratory ICT Manager/IMS Technical Manager.Manage and coordinate Laboratory ICT systems, including:Troubleshooting laboratory ICT issues within the Electronic Patient Record (EPR), PAS, Healthlink, middleware, and Laboratory Information System (Telepath).Managing software change requests relating to laboratory activities.Overseeing system, software, and hardware upgrades/replacements and maintaining QMS documentation in line with ISO 15189.Ensuring compliance with supported versions of ICT operating systems and application security updates.Managing SLAs and contracts with suppliers; attend supplier meetings and reviews.Supporting cloud-hosted environments (Azure, AWS) for Laboratory data.Assisting with IMS Service Helpdesk calls.Participate in ICT-related and LabMed/IMS Directorate meetings, implementing follow-up actions as required.Develop and maintain Laboratory ICT Disaster Recovery procedures.Manage communication and issue resolution with ICT suppliers and vendors.2. AccountabilitySupport the LabMed team in administrative and operational duties.Coordinate ICT services under your remit to ensure efficiency, quality, and patient-centred service delivery.Respond to daily operational issues promptly.Compile and report statistics and information as required by management.Undertake other appropriate tasks as assigned by Laboratory Management.3. QualityParticipate in the Laboratory Quality Management System and ensure compliance with ISO 15189 requirements.Engage in document control, audits, change control, supplier and asset management, and nonconformance investigations.Ensure compliance with SJH Quality and Risk Management (Datix).Support quality improvement initiatives to enhance safety, data quality, and service delivery.Assist in addressing complaints and incidents, developing corrective action plans.Promote and assist in the implementation of electronic systems and data audits.Ensure adherence to EU and national laboratory quality and safety legislation and hospital policies.4. Risk ManagementConduct and maintain risk assessments in accordance with national health, safety, and cybersecurity standards.Anticipate potential service disruptions and plan contingency measures (e.g., power outages, analyser downtime, emergency plans).Manage and respond to regulatory feedback and advisory notices appropriately.5. Education & TrainingConduct oneself professionally and uphold high standards of practice.Participate in all mandatory and relevant professional training.Engage in continuous professional development (CPD) and maintain training records.Attend and/or present at IT-related conferences, courses, and events as required.Technical/Clinical CompetenciesDemonstrate IT skills (e.g., familiarity with using/supporting Windows Operating systems, Cloud environments (e.g., Azure/AWS), Active Directory and a working knowledge of Microsoft 365 & OfficeEvidence of installing, configuring & supporting network equipment including Routers, switches, proxy servers, firewalls, firmware releases, WAN, DNS and DHCPEvidence of installing, configuring, upgrading, securing and supporting server and server related infrastructureWorking knowledge of Hospital/Healthcare IT Systems (Laboratory Information System, Laboratory Clinical and Point of Care System, Patient Record Systems/Data Management Systems/Database etc.*This position may be subject to Garda Vetting and Foreign Police Clearance, if applicable you will be required to obtain these prior to commencing in this role*Unijobs is an equal opportunities employer
