Our mission is simple but bold - to bring meaningful innovations and accessible IoT intelligence to the world.Meratch.com is one of our key in-house solutions - a dedicated R&D division focused on building next-gen colorimetric and spectroscopic platforms to measure water quality, starting with nitrate detection.🏞️ We are directly addressing the global threat of groundwater contamination, deteriorating river ecosystems, and failing urban water infrastructures.🚰🔬 About the Role:We are looking for a Laboratory Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of our wet lab dedicated to water quality analysis. This role is ideal for someone with a background in analytical chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related field, who is ready to take charge of laboratory management, design and execute experiments, and deliver publication-quality results. If you are a mid-level to senior professional with leadership experience, we want you to join our team and play a pivotal role in water analytics innovation.🧩 Key Responsibilities:Supervise lab operations: Ensure quality control, maintain laboratory equipment, and manage workflows for maximum efficiency.Design and execute experiments (DoE) for water quality testing (primary focus: nitrates).Develop new protocols for colorimetric and spectroscopic methods for water analysis, adapting market-ready tests to Meratch devices.Analyze and report data in publication-ready formats for internal use and external publication.Collaborate with other teams, including R&D, to drive innovative solutions for water quality monitoring.Train and mentor students working in the lab, ensuring they contribute effectively and learn best practices.Maintain lab documentation: Ensure proper calibration, compliance with safety standards, and that all experimental processes are well-documented.Administration and scientific outreach: Manage abstracts, travel, and budgets for water-research conferences; present talks/posters and channel market/technical insights back into the roadmap.📌 Qualifications and Skills:Essential:Strong background in analytical chemistry, chemical engineering, biology, or a similar field.Demonstrated experience in analytical methods and standardization of laboratory tests.Expertise in pipetting, mass balance, and concentration calculations.Solid experience with wet lab techniques and laboratory quality control practices.Proven ability to design experiments and adapt methods to novel technologies.Master’s degree (or higher) in a relevant field, or equivalent experience in wet lab environments.Nice-to-Have:Experience with colorimetric or spectroscopic methods for water quality analysis.Familiarity with IoT sensor technologies for environmental monitoring.Previous experience in a supervisory role within a laboratory setting.Ability to work under tight deadlines and in a fast-paced research and development environment.🎁 What We Offer:Salary starting at €1,816/month gross, negotiable based on experience.Flexible working hours and family-friendly policies ⏱️.Paid lunches, meal contributions, and snacks 🍽️.On-site personal trainer 2x/week 🏋️.Professional growth through training and mentorship.Opportunity to contribute to the IoT and environmental resilience sectors 🌱.Values-driven culture built on Agility, Humor, Integrity, Proactivity, and Innovation.📩 How to Apply:Send your CV or any questions to hr@gospace.techReady to contribute to cutting-edge water quality analytics and help shape the future of IoT and environmental sustainability?
