Biohm also offers its state-of-the-art microbiome gut testing kits as a private label solution for brands in the health and wellness space.Role DescriptionBiohm Technologies is seeking a detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our growing branded ingredient team! This position will support our bacterial and fungi-based pro and post biotic research and production as the company moves to launch and optimize new ingredients and formulations within the dietary supplement and food markets. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in bacterial and fungal microbiology with experience in cell counting and imaging techniques including PCR, Flow Cytometry, and USP enumeration, fermentation, and ELISA analysis. This role requires a strong understanding of laboratory safety, meticulous documentation skills, and excellent critical thinking skills. Candidates studying in graduate or postgraduate are welcome to join our rapidly growing company, with the opportunity to evolve this role into a full-time positionQualificationsProficiency in operating Laboratory EquipmentDemonstrated commitment to laboratory safety and regulatory complianceExcellent Analytical SkillsEffective communication and teamwork skillsGeneral Laboratory Skills and experience specific to Laboratory TechniciansExcellent attention to detail, organization, and recordkeepingAbility to follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelinesMinimum 1-2 years laboratory experience preferredBachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, or a related fieldWork EnvironmentPrimarily in-person laboratory-based role involving wet chemistry and microbial culture work in a shared space with other industry partners.Handling of biological materials and controlled substances under BSL-1 or BSL-2 conditions.Requires standing for extended periods and occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs.
