Job Description

Nanogami is a highly innovative and rapidly growing startup in the field of DNA Origami-based nanotechnology (check out our DLD Talk or this article to learn more). Our international team is driven by a shared vision: to pioneer a novel generation of biochips set to unlock applications in research and diagnostics and thereby pushing the boundaries of personalised medicine to new heights. In 2022 we secured significant funding by SPRIND - Germany's Federal Agency for Disruptive Innovation to realize our ambitious growth trajectory and now aim to significantly expand our current team to support the at-scale commercialisation of our nanotechnology.

Your role: We are looking for a dedicated Technican (m/f/d) to join our innovative biochip team. In this role, you will be an important part of our laboratory operations, with a focus on Wetlab production processes and Quality Control. Your products will build the basis for the development of our next generation Biochips. Your mission:

Execute wetlab protocols, including DNA origami assembly reactions and purification using established methods Prepare buffer solutions and oligonucleotide stock solutions for experiments and perform meticulous sample preparation for quality control Operate and maintain a range of lab equipment and regularly use analytical techniques (such as gel electrophoresis, ultrafiltration, UV-Vis spectrophotometry, and laser scanning) Perform quality control on samples and products, including checking for contamination and assessing DNA origami integrity Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records, ensuring all data is properly documentedPerform routine lab maintenance, including cleaning and organizing equipment and workspacesParticipate in team meetings, report on experimental results, and collaborate with researchers to troubleshoot, optimize, and develop new laboratory techniquesRequirementsYour profile:

Training as a technical assistant (e. g. CTA, BTA, etc. ), or comparable training. At least 1-2 years of experience working in a laboratory settingComprehensive knowledge of biochemistry techniques and laboratory proceduresA proactive and independent working style, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new techniquesHaving strong focus and reliability in executing experimental work in the laboratoryAbility to follow instructions and work according to standardised protocolsExcellent organisational and time management skills to handle multiple experiments simultaneouslyProfessional German or English communication skills.
