They now seek an experienced Accountant to join their team. The RoleThe role on hire is for a full time Accountant based Adelaide, SA at an annual salary set at $80,000 plus superannuation. The ResponsibilitiesThe Accountant duties include but are not limited to:

Development and implementation of accounting and internal control systems and selection of appropriate accounting policiesPreparation of cash flow, budget, and evaluation of financial risks for capital investment projectsEnsure financial records are maintained in compliance with prescribed college policies and proceduresEnsure the accuracy of the information provided in the financial statementsPreparation of financial reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing accounting information for stakeholdersPreparation of special purpose reports regarding absorption, consolidation, mergers, capital financing, financial commitments, and obligations, if requiredAnalyse operations, trends, costs, and revenue of the organizationLiaison with external accountants for the preparation of tax returns and business activity statementsPreparing annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, analysing financial figures, and commenting on discrepanciesLiaise with external tax accountants and government authorities for auditing purposesResponsible for conducting periodic internal audits to verify the accuracy of financial records and taking relevant measures to eliminate financial risksSupervise end-to-end payroll for employees on a weekly and fortnightly basisAnalyse operating costs and expenditures, escalating findings to senior management for improvementThe RequirementsAt least a Bachelor Degree in AccountingMust have at least 2 years' accounting experience in a professional capacity gained within AustraliaMust have at least 2 years' accounting experience in a corporate settingMust have at least 2 years' commercial experience in MYOB Accounting and XERO softwareMust have at least 2 years' commercial experience with company income tax and GSTStrong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy with the ability to multi-taskShows initiative, has strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindsetDemonstrates outstanding written and verbal communication skillsExcellent time-management skills with exceptional ability to work under pressure
