Discover how we nurture talent, foster creativity, and build a thriving environment for every student.About The RoleSafa Community School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, patient and committed Primary Language Teaching Assistant (TA) to join our dynamic and successful Modern Foreign Languages Department, who has a successful proven track record supporting Primary students or would like to start their career as a Teaching Assistant with us at SCS.The successful candidate will work alongside the Primary German Teacher to support the teaching and learning of German from Year 1 to Year 6, helping young learners develop love for languages and an early appreciation of German culture and be a fluent German speaker.This role is ideal for someone passionate about working with children and interested in nurturing curiosity, creativity, and confidence through language learning.The successful applicant will already be resident in Dubai. Gifts and talents are celebrated and fully explored.The successful applicant will demonstrate high levels of motivation and have the ability to engage, support, lead and inspire children to raise standards along with delivering effective outcomes for all children.General Professional ResponsibilitiesSupport the delivery of engaging, play-based, and interactive German lessons under the guidance of the German teacher.Work with small groups or individual students to reinforce language learning, focusing on listening, speaking, reading, and writing in German.Prepare classroom resources, visual aids, and cultural materials to make lessons exciting and accessible for Primary learners.Encourage students to participate actively, use German in class, and develop their confidence through songs, games, and role-play.Support the organisation of language and cultural events such as World Languages Day or displays celebrating German-speaking countries.Foster positive relationships with students and help build their independence, self-esteem, and enthusiasm for learning.Provide administrative and clerical support to the German teacher and MFL department as needed.Desired Skills and ExperienceExperience working with Primary-age children, ideally in a school or language learning environment.A genuine passion for languages and cultural education.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.A caring, flexible, and proactive attitude towards supporting children and teachers.EducationDue to regulations, we can only employ individuals with a minimum of High School education or a relevant degree.
