LATAM Sourcing Director

The Director will be responsible for all Direct and Indirect Sourcing categories within LATAM, including but not limited to Resin, Metal, Packaging, Marketing Services, Facility Services, MRO, and Transportation. They will partner with local leadership, departments, and facilities, while coordinating sourcing strategies with US counterparts to ensure full strategic alignment and leveraging economies of scale. They will develop and implement strategies that support regional growth aspirations and deliver industry leading productivity, lead time, service, and payment terms (DPO). They will provide guidance, support, and leadership as they motivate and develop a team of twenty-three (23) sourcing professionals, consisting of three (3) direct reports.Duties And ResponsibilitiesResponsible for ~$250M in spend across Direct, Indirect, and D&TDevelop productivity funnel to consistently deliver 3% to 4% cost savings annuallyExtend payment terms to meet or exceed industry benchmarksEnsure supplier on-time delivery, capacity, and lead time to meet service metrics and inventory objectivesIdentify and qualify suppliers for new products (NPD), regional diversification, risk mitigation, and productivity deliveryLead and support supplier negotiations and contract complianceLead and develop team of sourcing professionals to successfully achieve objectives and career goalsClose collaboration with LATAM GM’s and cross functional business partners to ensure delivery of annual objectivesQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Sourcing or related field15+ years of relevant sourcing experience requiredAbility to Travel (20-30%)Strong leadership and communication skillsStrong analytic and decision-making skillsConflict management/Resolution experienceSuperior negotiation skillsAbility to influence othersDemonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments simultaneouslyExcellent written & verbal communication and presentation skillsBilingual Communication (Spanish & English)Strong proficiency in Word, Excel, and Power PointAbility to work in a matrix organizationAbility to work under pressure and meet strict deadlinesResults drivenNewell Brands (NASDAQ: NWL) is a leading global consumer goods company with a strong portfolio of well-known brands, including Rubbermaid, Sharpie, Graco, Coleman, Rubbermaid Commercial Products, Yankee Candle, Paper Mate, FoodSaver, Dymo, EXPO, Elmer’s, Oster, NUK, Spontex and Campingaz.
