Job ResponsibilitiesThe Westinghouse Parts Business (WPB) seeks a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer in our New Stanton facility to support the WPB Fulfillment team.
The New Stanton site works on projects to bolster plant safety and reliability by providing the instrumentation and control, mechanical, and electro-mechanical products and services that our customers require. This position will focus on production of machined parts and manufacturing of large circuit breakers. Specific job responsibilities are as follows: Provide technical support to the production shop floor, troubleshooting issues and implementing solutions to minimize downtime. Analyze current manufacturing processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement. Develop and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
Design, select, and oversee the installation of new manufacturing equipment. Ensure all equipment is maintained and operating efficiently.
Resolve obsolescence issues through the redesign of parts using current manufacturing technologyFacilitate the disposition of quality issues on both purchased and manufactured partsPrepare and review technical packages including drawings, specifications, and procurement requirements Provide technical input during the proposal processWork effectively as part of a cross-functional team including quality engineering, supply chain management, marketing, customer service, and the supplier baseWho You AreA Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering is required0-4 Years’ ExperienceKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality control principles.
Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools.
