A highly regarded offshore law firm is seeking a Senior Associate to join its market-leading Investment Funds practice in the Cayman Islands. Working closely with partners and leading fund specialists, this role offers exposure to sophisticated international mandates involving hedge, private equity, and venture capital fund structures, alongside regulatory and corporate advisory work.The successful candidate will take a hands-on role advising top-tier investment managers, sponsors, and institutional investors on the establishment, structuring, and ongoing operation of Cayman Islands funds. You will also play an active part in mentoring junior lawyers, driving client initiatives, and contributing to the continued growth and success of the firm’s award-winning practice.Key Responsibilities:Provide clear, commercially focused legal advice across the full spectrum of investment fund and funds regulatory matters.Draft and review fund formation, governance, and investor documentation with precision and efficiency.Manage complex client relationships, ensuring high-quality service delivery and responsiveness.Oversee matter scoping, billing, and efficiency metrics to meet commercial objectives.Supervise, train, and mentor junior team members, contributing to knowledge-sharing and best practice.Participate in business development initiatives and maintain strong intermediary networks.Requirements:Qualified lawyer with 6–8 years’ post-qualification experience in investment funds, ideally within a top-tier international or offshore firm.Admission in a recognised commonwealth jurisdiction (E&W/AUS/NZ/CAN)Strong experience advising fund managers and institutional investors on fund structuring, regulatory, and compliance matters.Excellent drafting, research, and communication skills, with strong attention to detail.Proven leadership and client management capabilities.Sound commercial judgment and the ability to deliver pragmatic, solutions-driven advice.The Cayman Islands offers an enviable combination of high-level professional opportunity and island lifestyle, underpinned by a favourable tax environment, modern infrastructure, and a vibrant international community.
