Layout Engineering Manager

Steady Energy is a Finnish technology company pioneering the development of small modular nuclear reactors, offering innovative and sustainable energy solutions tailored for district heating and industrial applications. We focus on delivering safe, cost-efficient, and environmentally friendly systems that support the transition to clean energy across various sectors.We’re expanding our engineering team and looking for an experienced Layout Engineering Manager to lead the design of district heating plants of the 21st century. This is an exciting opportunity to take a key role in shaping the next generation of clean energy infrastructure.Key Responsibilities:Direct and optimize the layout design of nuclear district heating plants for space, constructability, and maintenance efficiency.Participate in the selection of the 3D design platform and supporting tools, carefully considering industry requirements and integration options.Establish guidelines for file structures, naming conventions, and modeling standards.Lead the development of project templates, standards, model structures, and libraries.Ensure strict adherence to industry standards, safety regulations, and client specifications.Provide support for project planning, cost estimation, and preparation of technical documentation.Qualifications:Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.7+ years of experience in plant or facility layout engineering (industrial, process, or manufacturing sector).Strong knowledge of 3D design tools (e.g., AutoCAD Plant 3D, Aveva E3D, PDMS, SmartPlant 3D, or similar).Proven leadership and coordination skills in multi-disciplinary engineering environments.Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.Fluent in English, both written and verbal.What We Offer:At Steady Energy, you’ll be part of a supportive and forward-thinking organization.
