Not only do we offer aggressive compensation and benefit packages, but we offer a culture that is unsurpassed!Purpose:The Lead, Clerical serves patients and visitors by answering phones, assisting patients with registration and intake, scheduling appointments and serving as a resource for other Front Office staff members.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Welcomes patients and visitors by greeting them in person or on the telephone, answering or referring inquiries. This employee will also assist front office or clinical area (if licensed) as neededAssists Manager with driving volumes and ensuring that all available appointments are filled for each providerAssists Manager with goals and objectives to minimize patient no showsAssists Manager with human resource issues related to all employees, i.e., corrective action, employee grievances, etcAssists Manager with any operational items or issues that may arise in the practiceEnsures that the clinic has adequate coverage for employee absences, tardies or PTOOptimizes patient satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone and comforts patients by anticipating their anxieties and answering their questionsReviews Practice Management System for information that needs to be updated. Works with patients to obtain updated information and accurately enters information in Practice Management System using proper English grammar, spelling, and syntaxIdentifies payer sources, verifies insurance eligibility, financial status and assigns correct payer type.
