Lead Data Engineer - Databricks

They will work closely with senior data engineers, architects, and product owners to ensure high-quality delivery of Data Assets.This role will operate on a hybrid model, with at least 2 days working in the office per week.Required Experience:At least 10 years of experience in Data Engineering or a related fieldA minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Databricks in a production environmentStrong expertise in cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP), Data Lake technologies, and Data Warehousing Experience with data ETL tools and BI solutions (e.g., Airflow, PowerBI)Experience with data quality and governance tools (e.g., Atlan, Monte Carlo)Solid knowledge of data modelling conceptsExcellent communication and collaboration skillsA problem-solving and analytical mindsetAbility to work autonomously and as part of a teamKey responsibilities & duties include:Mentor junior team members, providing guidance and technical expertiseContribute to technical discussions, ensuring alignment with broader data initiativesFoster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the teamDevelop and implement complex data pipelines and data warehouse solutionsEnsure the scalability, reliability, and performance of data pipelines, data lakes, and data warehousesCollaborate with senior data engineers, data architects, business analysts, product owners and other roles to understand data requirements and design robust solutionsDevelop and maintain data quality standards and processesDocument data pipelines and data warehouse solutions, promoting knowledge sharing and best practicesImplement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure uptime and reliabilityStay up-to-date on the latest data management technologies and best practicesIdentify and implement new data management technologies and tools to improve efficiency and performanceDesirable Experience:Master's in Computer Science, Data Science or a related fieldProven experience in designing, developing, and implementing complex data pipelines and data warehouse solutions in an enterprise environment.Experience with Scaled Agile planning and execution.
