The Impact You'll MakeAs our new Lead Design Engineer, you’ll play a key role in driving innovation and excellence within our PL40 Product Family team (Industrial Refrigeration).Your mission will be to lead and manage the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) process — ensuring that our products not only meet but exceed the highest standards of quality, performance, and reliability.You’ll collaborate with a global, cross-functional team to continuously improve existing designs, implement new ideas, and contribute to the development of energy-efficient and sustainable refrigeration solutions that make a real impact in the industry.What You’ll Be DoingProduct Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of products within the PL40 family, from conception to end-of-life, ensuring optimal performance and sustainability.Design Innovation: Lead the design and development of new products and enhancements, incorporating cutting-edge technologies and methodologies.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, manufacturing, and marketing teams to align product development with business objectives.Quality Assurance: Implement rigorous testing and quality control measures to ensure products meet Danfoss standards and customer expectations.Sustainability Focus: Integrate sustainable practices into product design and lifecycle management, supporting Danfoss's commitment to environmental responsibility.What We're Looking ForEducational Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.Experience: 5+ years of experience in product design and lifecycle management, with a strong background in mechanical products.Technical Proficiency: Expertise in 3D CAD software and PLM tools.Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve complex engineering challenges.Team Leadership: Proven ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams.Pressure Equipment Directive (PED): familiarity with the principles of design, manufacturing, and compliance of pressure equipment according to EU regulations.What You'll Get from UsWe promote from within and support your learning with mentoring, training, and access to global opportunities.You’ll have flexibility, autonomy, and support to do your best work while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
