Lead EHS Consultant – Hyperscale Data Centre (KSA)Employer: SP Data Centres (Seconded to Global Developer, Client-Side)Location: Kingdom of Saudi ArabiaProject Value: Up to $3 BillionStart Date: February 2026Duration: Minimum 12 months (likely extended)Sector: Commercial Construction | Hyperscale Data CentresOverviewSP Data Centres is seeking an experienced Lead EHS Consultant to spearhead environmental, health, and safety leadership on one of the largest hyperscale data centre projects in the Middle East. This is a client-side role, seconded into a global developer, where you will be responsible for setting up and managing EHS systems and culture across a $3B portfolio of works.You will lead the implementation of global minimum standards, adapt them to local regulations, and ensure alignment across all stakeholders, including Tier 1 and Tier 2 contractors. This role demands a strategic thinker who can influence at the highest level while driving operational excellence on-site.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership: Drive corporate EHS strategy across the entire project lifecycle.Site & Country Setup: Establish EHS frameworks and compliance processes tailored to KSA regulations.Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary EHS authority for the client, influencing senior leadership and contractors.Supply Chain Oversight: Manage Tier 1 and Tier 2 contractors to ensure adherence to global standards and local laws.Incident Management: Lead investigations and corrective actions for LTIs and other incidents.System Implementation: Deploy global EHS practices and integrate them with local regulatory requirements.Culture Development: Champion a proactive safety culture across all levels of the project.What We’re Looking ForExperience: 10+ years in EHS leadership roles on mega-projects (preferably hyperscale data centres or large industrial builds).Regional Knowledge: Proven track record working in the Middle East, with strong understanding of KSA regulations.Certifications: NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent; ISO 45001 knowledge essential.Skills: Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, and ability to influence corporate strategy.Mindset: Strategic yet hands-on, capable of driving culture and compliance in complex environments.Why SP Data Centres?SPDC is a specialist consultancy supporting the safe delivery of the most critical infrastructure, globally.
