POSITION DESCRIPTIONPosition Title: Lead Electrical Commissioning EngineerKEY ROLELead Electrical Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for delivery of electrical commissioning of assigned systems for the Brownfield ProjectThis role is for the Brownfield Project and mainly office based for readiness phase. Site attendance will be required to offshore or onshore facilities during execution phasePOSITION REPORTS TOLine Manager: Brownfield Commissioning Lead PRE-REQUISITES Competent in communicating in English language.Ability to work on own initiative.Good inter-personal skills.Ability to produce written reports.Computer literate in MS Word, MS Excel and MS Power pointAbility to read and understand engineering drawings and project schedules.Fit and healthyAn Engineering degree or equivalent qualifications / experienceATEX experience. Complex Power management experience.Deep understanding of BP Construction & Commissioning Defined Practices for both Greenfield and Brownfield projects and the latest international standards that assure integrity of build and construction quality.Experience of effectively interfacing and working together with Commissioning cross-discipline teams, Design / Construction Contractors and Operations entities.Cross discipline technical and commissioning awareness would be a distinct advantage  RESPONSIBILITIES & OBJECTIVES  Provide HSE Leadership and work with the Brownfield functions and vendor teams to deliver fully on BP’s expectations on HSE.Support the Commissioning Lead on SoW and Schedule development and input to the contractor selection.Review and comment on Engineering contractors’ documents, provide commissioning perspective to Design.Development of Electrical LOSH drawings.Attending Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT’s).Specifying and raising Purchase Orders for required Electrical Tools, Equipment and Commissioning Spares.Identify electrical temporary system requirements for commissioning.Review and acceptance of contractor supplied procedures and activities for installation, preservation and commissioning of all electrical equipment at all sitesParticipate in the development of effective external interfaces between BP, Engineering Contractor, Brownfield Topsides Fabricator, Package Suppliers and other major contractors across the project.Support the Risk and Opportunity Management process.Review and update of key project management documentations as the project progressesInterface with Engineering, Construction Contractors, and Operations to ensure constructability input is being actively considered and implemented.Anticipate and identify adverse trends/events throughout the construction cycle and work with the relevant parties to avoid them or achieve timely resolution.Provide oversight of all Brownfield electrical construction activities, from start, through to final acceptance including Mechanical Completion Handover processes.Offshore visits during the Construction and Commissioning phases.Reviewing and approving switching programmes for complex reconfigurations of the HV Electrical system.Responsible for the compilation of relevant Commissioning Test Procedures (CTP) for the electrical systems.Ensure all Electrical Engineers, Supervisors and Technicians deployed are fully aware and understand the projects safe working practices, process safety fundamentals and ensure they are adhered to maintain a SAFE working environment.Ensuring that all commissioning procedures and paperwork within the SHMP is completed to enable a smooth hand over of systems to Operations.Our role in supporting diversity and inclusion As an international workforce business, we are committed to sourcing personnel that reflects the diversity and values of our client base but also that of Orion Group.
