Roles & ResponsibilitiesOb SummaryThe Lead Information Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the project’s Information Management (IM) strategy and systems throughout the FPSO project lifecycle. This includes overseeing all engineering data, documentation, and digital deliverables to ensure alignment with company standards, contractual requirements, and client specifications. The role ensures data integrity, consistency, and accessibility across disciplines, contractors, and stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain the Project Information Management Plan (PIMP) in accordance with project execution requirements.Establish and manage Engineering Data and Document Management Systems (EDMS) such as AVEVA, SmartPlant Foundation, or equivalent.Define and control project information handover requirements (DFO / MDR / LCI) to ensure compliance with client and regulatory standards.Coordinate data integration between E3D, document control, and procurement systems to ensure consistency and traceability of engineering deliverables.Manage and monitor document control processes, including transmittals, revisions, metadata accuracy, and distribution matrices.Oversee the setup of document numbering systems, workflows, and approval hierarchies in alignment with the IM procedures.Interface with engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operations teams to ensure accurate data exchange.Conduct information quality audits to ensure data completeness and integrity across project phases.Support digitalization initiatives including 3D model data management, tag management, and engineering database integration.Lead and mentor the Information Management team, including document controllers and data coordinators, to achieve project milestones.Ensure the final data handover package to client / operations team is structured, validated, and compliant with FPSO information management standards.RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline.Minimum 10 years’ experience in Information Management or Engineering Data Management within the oil & gas / FPSO / EPC environment.Proven experience implementing and managing EDMS systems (e.g., AVEVA, SharePoint, SmartPlant Foundation, Documentum).Strong understanding of data governance, metadata standards, and digital handover (DFO/LCI) requirements.Familiar with engineering design systems (e.g., AVEVA E3D, SmartPlant, PDMS) and integration with document management tools.Excellent communication and coordination skills with multidisciplinary teams and contractors.PMP or equivalent project management certification is an advantage.
