Lead Mechanical QA/QC Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Lead Mechanical QA/QC Engineer to oversee quality assurance and control for mechanical engineering aspects of our projects. This role is ideal for a proactive professional with a strong background in mechanical quality management and team leadership.Key Responsibilities:Develop, implement, and maintain the mechanical quality plan, ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.Lead QA/QC activities for mechanical engineering, including inspections, audits, testing, and reporting, to uphold the highest quality standards.Supervise and support QA/QC team members to achieve effective quality control across the project.Collaborate closely with construction management, work area managers, and technical teams to identify and resolve mechanical quality issues.Review and assess contractors’ quality plans and systems, providing guidance and ensuring alignment with project standards.Evaluate inspection reports, coordinate design adjustments, and facilitate change orders when required.Organize and lead regular meetings to monitor audit outcomes and follow-up actions.Liaise with third-party inspectors, regulatory authorities, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance and quality assurance.Report QA/QC performance, challenges, and corrective actions to senior management.Participate in cross-functional workshops, project review meetings, and interface management sessions to ensure smooth project execution. Qualifications and Skills:Proven experience in QA/QC leadership roles within mechanical engineering projects.Strong knowledge of mechanical quality assurance procedures, inspection tools, and industry standards.Demonstrated ability to lead teams and coordinate multiple QA/QC activities in complex projects.Skilled in evaluating and advising on contractors’ quality systems and compliance plans.Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.Familiarity with welding standards and other mechanical regulations.Experience in process, energy, or heavy industrial projects is a plus.Fluent in English and Swedish.
