This role requires a high degree of ownership, data-informed decision-making, and the ability to influence and collaborate across functions. Collaborates with peers and support team members to elevate team capability to drive the people agenda for the site. You will bring a blend of operational expertise and strategic thinking, serving as a champion of Saks’ culture, an advocate of employee engagement, and a catalyst for change. You’ll work closely with COEs (Compensation, L&D, DEI, Talent Acquisition, and People Operations) and be accountable for the end-to-end employee experience, leadership enablement, and execution of key HR programs.Role DescriptionServe as the strategic People Business Partner for a complex business area, applying deep HR domain expertise to proactively influence talent, succession planning, and workforce strategies.Independently assess evolving business needs and design integrated, forward-looking HR solutions in collaboration with global COEs and business leadersLead optimization and enhancements of key people programs including performance management, talent reviews, employee survey actions, and DEI initiativesExecute people projects or initiatives for your span of function/sIndependently assess complex issues, diagnose root causes, and implement innovative solutions that enhance HR effectiveness and operational accuracy.Support in developing and implementing employee related policies and procedures for the companyCollect and assess HR data for performance management and other tasks using metrics. Provide inputs and employee demographic data during audits, recurring review meetings, bonus, merit & appraisal discussionsAct as a point of contact for employees by providing support for various subjects such as leaves, compensations, people policiesIdentify and recommend process improvements and efficienciesParticipating in special projects as requiredPerforms routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talentmanagement; productivity, recognition, and moraleCollaborate with business leaders & People team COEs to ensure adherence of all HR processes inclusive but not limited to onboarding, policy compliance, rewards and recognition, and lifecycle transactionsEnsure adherence to local labor laws and Saks policies, identifying compliance gaps and escalating risks proactivelyUse data analytics and insights to support workforce planning, diversity dashboards, and audit requirements.Required Qualifications (Minimum Requirements)Post graduate in Human ResourcePreferred Experience (nice To Haves)About 5-8 of progressive HR experience, preferably in a business partnering role, including experience in scaling and supporting fast-paced organizations.Proven ability to operate autonomously and proactively, with a bias toward action and accountability.Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.Analytical mindset and comfort with HR metrics & dashboards.Experience managing complex projects or initiatives with multiple stakeholders.Demonstrated collaboration with COEs and navigating matrixed environments.Exposure to employee relations, DEI, performance management, and change management.Familiarity with HR systems such as Workday, and tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, or data visualization platforms.Exposure/Experience –working across cultures & cross functional teamsAbility to work well under pressure and multi-taskHighly accountable with a continuous improvement mindset.Comfortable with ambiguity, shifting priorities, and organizational change.Your Life And Career At SaksExposure to rewarding career advancement opportunitiesA culture that promotes a healthy, fulfilling work/life balanceBenefits package for all eligible full-time employees (including medical, vision and dental).Thank you for your interest in Saks.
