But our mission is clear: to make AI deeply personal, human through AI, not human replaced by it.If you’re someone who is curious and excited about AI and wants to build with good people, you’ll probably find your place here.We are funded 🚀 and have offices in Bangalore and Goa 🌴🌞 🌊.About The RoleWe’re hiring our first People & Culture lead — a hands-on builder who can shape how people join, grow, and thrive at Alt, while also running the day-to-day systems that keep things moving. Your first few months will be a mix of setting up people policies, growing the team and hiring for key positions, and ensuring that new hires have all the tools they need to thrive.This is not a plug-and-play HR role. We’re looking for someone who loves taking ownership, working directly with founders, and blending structure with experimentation.What You’ll DoBuild the foundation of our people practices — from hiring and onboarding to growth, performance, and offboardingWork with the founders to shape team structure, define roles, and create meaningful career pathsLead hiring across product, tech, and design — using your network in India’s product and tech circles to help us find the right people fasterDesign simple, scalable systems that make remote-first work effortlessExperiment with AI tools to automate repeat work and improve how we run day to day workCo-create culture — build rituals, feedback loops, and learning practices that keep us connected even while working remotelyHandle HR operations, contracts, and compliance — keeping policies up to date and aligned with local laws and our valuesShape our employer brand — from onboarding experiences to how we show up on LinkedInManage relationships with external partners — consultants, legal advisors, and tech platforms that support our teamYou’ll Thrive Here If YouHave 5+ years of experience across HR, operations, or people strategyHave helped build HR processes in early stages of a tech/ product-led companyAre comfortable with ambiguity and love setting up new systemsAre tech-savvy — comfortable with tools like Slack, Notion, ATS platforms, and AI assistantsThink in systems but act fast — balancing empathy with operational rigorCan manage multiple moving parts without getting flusteredThink people-first: we are an AI+People company and our emphasis is on building the right people policies for our team from the ground up BonusHave experience across multiple HR verticals — from recruitment to policy design to culture buildingWhy AltWork with founders who care deeply about people and productShape a company’s DNA from day oneExperiment with new-age tools (AI, automation, async culture) to reimagine how teams operate Skills: hiring,onboarding,operations,human resources,hr policies development
