Job Description

🎨 Don't just design screens. Architect the System that cleans up the world.🚀 About WasteHero Are you passionate about creating a cleaner, greener world for future generations? At WasteHero, we’re on a mission to revolutionize the waste management industry through innovative technology and data-driven solutions. Our cloud-native SaaS platform helps cities and private operators optimize routes, automate billing, and reduce their environmental impact. From navigation tools for drivers to citizen self-service portals, we deliver the complete digital ecosystem. The Impact: Your work will directly touch the lives of millions of citizens and empower the essential workforce that keeps our cities running. The Role We are scaling fast across Europe and the Middle East, and we need a Lead Product Designer to join our HQ in Aarhus. You will be the bridge between complex backend logic and a world-class user experience. This is not an "Artist" role. We don't need someone to just make things "look pretty." We need a Systems Thinker who can build a robust Design System (The Lego Blocks) that allows our engineering teams to build fast, consistent Microfrontends.🛠 The MissionBuild the "WasteHero Design System": You will own the master component library (Figma). You will define the tokens and atomic components that ensure our Billing module looks exactly like our Routing module—even if different teams build them.Tame the Complexity: We deal with heavy data—live maps, sensor streams, and logistics tables. Your job is to turn high-density data into clean, actionable interfaces.Bridge Design & Engineering: You won't just hand off static images. You will work side-by-side with our Engineers to ensure your Figma components map 1:1 to their code.Speed & Pragmatism: We are a scale-up. We don't write 50-page research papers. We sketch, we prototype, we validate, and we ship.🌟The "World Class" ProfileThe Experience: 5+ years designing complex B2B SaaS or Enterprise software. The Superpower: You are a master of Figma Variables & Auto-Layout. You treat your design files like code—clean, organized, and scalable. The AI Advantage: You don't fear AI; you use it to multiply your output. You leverage generative tools (ChatGPT, Midjourney, Figma AI) to speed up ideation, generate copy, and automate repetitive workflows. The Technical Empathy: You don't need to write code, but you understand CSS, Responsive Grids, and Component States. You design things that are actually buildable.🌟 Why Join Us?Real World Impact: You aren't optimizing ad-clicks. You are building software that affects millions of people and reduces CO2 emissions globally.Strategic Ownership: You will be the Design Authority in Aarhus, working directly with the Founder and CTO.The Challenge: Designing for a Microfrontend architecture is the "Hard Mode" of UI/UX. This is where you prove you are elite.Ready to design the future of waste management?👇 Apply here
