Consultants in this location have the opportunity to be mentored by well-known industry-leading Front Office, Risk & Quantitative experts, and work for a variety of top-tier clients including the world’s largest Investment Banks, Asset Management Companies, and market-leading Hedge Funds.About The PracticeAs part of our partnerships with various clients, we are currently expanding our quant & technology teams to keep pace with the rapid growth in this business.Our consultants gain exposure to a variety of projects across asset classes as well as coverage areas (such as front office, pricing & analytics, risk methodology, model validation and more), with each project typically taking 12 to 18 months. As a firm we engage in a wide range of services including but not limited to:Front office development and engineering (including directly supporting the trading desks, Pricing & Risk engines)Quantitative development which includes refining and optimising the code developed by model developer.Quantitative IT work such as improving the backend infrastructure and computation platformAbout The Role And ResponsibilitiesThe consultant will be working closely with key business stakeholders, development, and analytical teams to understand the business requirements and work towards enhancing our clients Front Office, eTrading & Risk Management Systems.Main responsibilities will include developing code, blending it together to be run under single scenario, building various algorithms, along with investigating and explaining differences in results between potential legacy and newly developed systemsKey SkillsTo be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will combine deep Java engineering expertise with a strong understanding of financial markets and quantitative systems. They should be comfortable building scalable, high-performance applications that support pricing, risk, and analytics workflows in a front-office or risk context.Strong enterprise Java development (JDK 11+), with expertise in JVM internals, memory management, and performance tuningExperience with multithreading, concurrency, and high-throughput systemsHands-on with Spring/Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, messaging (Kafka, JMS, Solace), and caching (Redis, Ignite)Skilled in database design and query optimisation (PostgreSQL, SQL Server) for analytical workloadsExposure to market data and reference data systems, including ingestion, validation, and distributionFamiliarity with pricing, risk, and trade lifecycle concepts across asset classesAble to integrate and productionise quantitative models in collaboration with quantsUnderstanding of numerical techniques such as Monte Carlo simulation, sensitivity analysis, and basic optimisation Awareness of data quality practices: anomaly detection, reconciliation, and SLA monitoringExperience with Python or similar for data analysis or prototypingStrong grasp of DevOps and enterprise practices: CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes, observability, cloud (AWS/Azure)Proven problem-solving ability in capital markets environments, with strong stakeholder communicationExperience working in global teams and mentoring junior engineersNext stepsThis is an excellent opportunity to join a world-leading Front Office & Quantitative technology consultancy which offers the chance to accelerate your career by working with multiple elite financial institutions.
