Join us.Your impactThe OpenText Storage Administrator will assist with general maintenance and upkeep of our global storage environment. Included in this are deploying storage changes, collaborating with vendors, maintaining storage infrastructure, ensuring performance specifications are met, and other duties as directed. This person will participate in an on-call rotation to manage production-impacting issues. The OpenText Senior Storage Administrator will report to the Senior Manager of Storage, focusing on the corporate and lab business.What The Role OffersSupporting the Operations Organization by employing systematic efforts that translate operational storage needs into configuration specifications which provide a robust, stable, and maintainable Production Storage Processing environment, meeting or exceeding all Business Requirements.Participating in strategic projectsProvide oversight of the global storage footprintProvide storage forecasts based on usage and trendingKeep up to date with storage manufacturers' product offeringsAdhere to all ITIL standards and processesProvide Level3 expertise for break\fix issuesEnsure accurate and non-impactful changes are implemented in the production environment by working with technical services, storage resourcesWhat You Need To SucceedB.S. in computer science/information systems or equivalent combination of education and experience5-8 years progressively responsible experience in: Primarily EMC and NetApp storage technologies, some familiarity with HP 3Par Storage Array installation, configuration, and administration would be considered an asset Storage allocation, upgrades, and optimization standards Storage Performance Tuning Proactive monitoring and tools implementation Cisco MDS and Brocade SAN switch installation, configuration, and administration Storage management tools (ECC, SE, ESRS, SCG, SMC/SPA NetApp DII) Experience with EMC’s PMAX, VMAX, UNITY, VNX, Symmetrix, and Celera platforms, HP 3PAR storage, NetApp, and Cisco/Brocade SAN Switches Familiarity with VMware is an asset A basic understanding of system administration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of RedHat Enterprise Linux, HP-UX, Solaris & Windows ServersExperience using AI to develop strategies to automate workloads and processes, with a commitment to operating in a safe and secure manner to prevent the exposure of sensitive information in any public domainOpenText's efforts to build an inclusive work environment go beyond simply complying with applicable laws.
