Bio-Rad has 40+ legal entities in EMEA region. The controllership led by the Regional Controller ensures the financial activities are performed accurately and timely and in the most efficient manner. The role is responsible for identifying area’s for improvement, especially aimed at gaining efficiencies and increase in the quality of the output of the operations of accounts payable, payroll, VAT compliance and fixed assets accounting. These processes are largely global therefore the role will work closely with the regional controllership team in EMEA but also in other regions (APAC and Americas), as well as with FP&A, Treasury, Internal Audit and Tax teams in the region or in Corporate HQ.How You'll Make An ImpactUnderstand the operations of the entities in EMEA and understand the business of Bio-Rad.Understand the global processes and operations of Bio-Rad, and understand the impact on the finance processes and operations of payroll, fixed assets, Purchase to Pay, US-Gaap and statutory accounting as well as tax compliance.Identify improvement opportunities within the finance processes and/or within global processes and operations that could have an impact on the efficiency and effectiveness of the finance processes and operationsPrepare business cases and present them to finance leaders in the regions or corporate.Run improvement projects in line with lean methodology.Customers & RelationshipsEstablish and maintain good working relationships with Finance teams and their leaders in the region, but also in the other regions and Corporate HQ.Establish and maintain good working relationships with departments in the regions such as IT, procurement, HR, GCO and GSC.Leadership & Performance Management of the TeamRun project teams effectively and efficiently although you have no formal authority over them. Use influencing methods effectively.What You'll BringExcellent knowledge of best practices within large, high transaction, fast-paced Mult-National Companies.
