Senior Process Engineer – Green Hydrogen Location: Oslo, NorwayLeap29 are representing a client who are a fast-growing, high-tech company developing next-generation PEM electrolyser technology to accelerate large-scale green hydrogen production. Their patented concept plays a central role in enabling renewable energy storage and use in heavy-duty transport and industry. They are now looking for a Senior Process Engineer to join their team in Oslo. This role combines project execution and product development, contributing directly to the delivery of innovative hydrogen systems in Norway and internationally. ResponsibilitiesDesign and optimize hydrogen production processes for patented PEM electrolyser technology.
Develop process models, simulations, and control strategies to ensure system performance. Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and automation engineers for effective system integration. Participate in process safety reviews, HAZOP studies, and risk assessments. Provide technical guidance on gas purification, water treatment, and thermal management. Support commissioning, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of electrolyser systems. Work with suppliers and partners on equipment and instrumentation selection and standardization. Contribute to cross-functional, multidisciplinary teams across all project phases from sales through commissioning. RequirementsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical, Process, or Mechanical Engineering.
Ideally 8–12 years’ experience in process engineering, preferably within gas processing, chemical industries, or semiconductor manufacturing. Strong candidates with 4+ years of relevant experience will also be considered. Knowledge of hydrogen production processes is an advantage. Familiarity with industrial safety standards and regulations. Experience with technical safety is beneficial. Hands-on experience with system testing and commissioning. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams. Personal QualitiesTeam-oriented and collaborative.
