Job Description
The Learning and Development Manager is in charge of all the corporate learning and development activities in a company. They design and implement learning strategies, organize training programs and enhance the hard and soft skills of employees. The learning and development lead works towards getting personnel trained in a way that benefits the company while aiding the employee’s personal development. By executing learning strategies, and tracking their effectiveness, they work toward helping employees reach their highest potential by making the most out of the learning opportunities available to them.Job Responsibilities:Ensure that the opportunities for learning and growth are readily available to employees as an L&D managerWork toward getting the right training resources to employees that will aid them in reaching their full potentialGuarantee organizational growth in a company by enabling individual and personal growth for an employeeDevelop programs that are tailor-made to deliver outstanding resultsDeep dive into new training methods and global trends in development through the right learning in human resources managementPlan, implement and oversee all the learning and development activities within a companyDesign training programs that are pertinent to certain roles or organizational goals in a companyEnsure that learning materials and resources are easily and readily available to the learnersManage other aspects of learning, such as timelines and budgets, as a learning and development managerAssist, guide and advise employees who are undergoing training programs or who want to explore learning opportunitiesHire learning and development specialists and be a point of contact between the company and the external trainersAssess the success and effectiveness of the training plans and make appropriate changes to them to further enhance their results within the scope of the learning and development manager roleRequired skills and qualificationsBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, education or a related disciplinePrior experience working as a learning and development managerKnowledge of learning and developmental theories and practicesDemonstrable communication, organizational and time management skillsStrong understanding of Indian labor laws and HRIS systemsExperience in identifying, designing and maintaining learning programsExpert-level knowledge in MS Office and making presentations
