The purpose of this role is to teach and share your passion for the culinary industry with eager young students; helping them grow individually, and ultimately playing a role in their career paths and success in life. You will be responsible for: Conduct theory lectures and kitchen pastry practical sessions Ensure a pass rate of 85% and throughput rate of 90% is achieved Student tracking, counselling and support Input towards curriculum development and improvement Apply assessment principles as per assessor code of conduct Industry time and research Open day Sweet Snacks Taking the lead on all Competitions In charge of Pastry Based Excursions for the students RequirementsRequirements- Minimum NQF 5 qualification in the hospitality industry- City and Guilds Diploma in Food Prep and Cooking & Patisserie- CATHSSETA scoping – Unit 73292 is a requirement - Assessors and Moderators certificate- Certified to conduct outcome-based assessment- Minimum 5 years Pastry experience- Minimum 2 years lecturing / teaching/assessor- Experience in a managerial position is needed - Chocolate Work - Sugar Craft - Bread Making - Basic Pastry Fundamentals - Cake Decorating
