Not only will s/he have both the knowledge and working experience, s/he must also possess a passion for working with youths, nurturing and moulding their characters. There will be opportunities to develop curriculum, introduce new courses as well as be involved in consultancy and other applied research projects. Administrative work related to teaching and School/Institutional strategic initiatives will also be an important part of the job. The successful candidates will be expected to be resourceful and innovative with initiative and good communication skills.The appointee must be competent to teach Statistics at diploma and higher levels, as well as conduct training for adult learners.In addition, the appointee should also be able to teach in any one of the following areas: Mathematics Data Analytics Computing IT ApplicationsThe appointee will also be required to teach at least one of the following broad-based, foundational modules under the common core curriculum to enable our students to have the necessary emerging digital skills and human skills. Data Fluency Artificial Intelligence and Its Impact Persuasive Communication with Data Storytelling Problem Solving with Creative and Computational Thinking[What you will be working on]Conduct lessons and mentoring of studentsDevelop curriculum and learning materials for modules stated aboveDeploy effective pedagogy to facilitate learningParticipate in educational research projects to enhance pedagogical practices and improve student learning outcomes[What we are looking for]Passionate about education and possess good valuesTeam player with the ability to work independentlyPossess good communication skills, both written and verbalA good degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science or Engineering, preferably with a postgraduate qualification in a relevant fieldRelevant industry experience and/or knowledge of how statistics is applied in different fields such as Engineering, IT or Data AnalyticsFamiliarity with data visualisation tools such as Power BI is a plusSuccessful candidate will be offered a 2-year contract in the first instance.If you are shortlisted for the position, you should hear from us within 30 days of the closing date of the advertisement.
