The group work across a variety of sectors including media and technology, creative industries and financial and professional services.The roleWe are looking for a Legal Administrator to join the firm’s Employment Group. The Legal Administrator will support the group with general administration tasks, assist with streamlining processes. The successful candidate will ideally have a minimum one year’s administration assistant experience, ideally gained in a law firm or professional services.ResponsibilitiesThe Legal Administrator role has the following responsibilities: Provides general administration support for the group, ensuring work is completed efficiently and within set deadlines. Assists with the file opening and closing processes. Assists with photocopying and scanning. Assists with all aspects of the billing process and accounting processes, including claiming expenses. Assists with document management and bundle preparation for disclosure purposes and for tribunal and court hearings Maintains client files both electronically and in hard copy where required, including sorting, collating and filing emails and correspondence/documents. Manages processes using the firm’s network IT systems and databases, including Filesite, Aderant, and Microsoft Office. Liaising with other departments including Compliance and Finance. Manages workload issues; takes ownership of enquiries and ensures any issues are referred/delegated to the appropriate person and dealt with in a timely fashion. Provides ad hoc support to the group as required.Skills Required Previous experience within a busy law firm is preferable or at least one year’s administration experience in a similar role Excellent IT skills Good numeracy skills Excellent time management and organisational skills Strong attention to detail Works well under pressure Adaptable and flexible Team player Outgoing, enthusiastic, hard-working and confident The capability to keep matters confidential Positive and proactive approach to your work Flexibility as to hours and the role itself Flexibility towards new technologies and changes in working practices
