You will support day-to-day legal operations across our operations, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, managing contracts, overseeing litigation matters, and providing legal and company secretariat support across operational functions. This role is ideal for someone with both in-law firm and in-house experience, particularly in fast-paced, high-growth sectors such as Manufacturing, Technology. Key ResponsibilitiesLegal Advisory & SupportProvide sound legal advice on company operations, employee matters, commercial decisions, and new business initiatives.Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for business implications, especially relating to Operations, manufacturing and tech-related transactions. Contract & Documentation ReviewDraft, review, and negotiate a variety of agreements, including service-level agreements (SLAs), vendor/supplier contracts, NDAs, employment contracts, partnership agreements, Labour related agreements.Ensure contract templates are current and compliant with legal standards.Compliance & Regulatory SupportMonitor and interpret legal and regulatory changes that affect business activities.Support internal teams with compliance requirements (e.g., data protection, tax, licenses, financial regulations, Labour related compliances).Assist in preparing documentation for compliance audits and regulatory submissions.Dispute, Litigation & Risk ManagementManage and oversee litigation matters, including pre-action processes, court proceedings, and settlement negotiations.Collaborate with external counsel, prepare case strategies, and support hearings or arbitration when required.Identify legal risks and recommend mitigation steps for operational and transactional matters.Corporate & Company Secretariat SupportMaintain and organize legal documentation and filings.Support with board documentation, meeting resolutions, shareholder communications, and regulatory filings.Ensure statutory compliance with corporate governance requirements and maintain company registers.Provide company legal support to the Board of Directors and relevant committees when deemed necessary.ABOUT YOUKey Qualifications & RequirementsMA. In Laws, Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) with relevant, valid Law school graduate certifications from a recognized institution.7+ years of experience, ideally a combination of both, in-law firm and in-house legal work exposure is required.Experience in corporate Commercial Law, Contract Management, Regulatory  Advisory, Litigation Management at a Court of Law, Industrial Labour relations and litigations management exposure is required.Familiarity with Business, Supply-Chain, Tech or Tech-enabled services, Investments, knowledge and exposure in a Manufacturing setting is an added advantage.Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks with deadlines.Proficiency in legal research, Microsoft Office, document, reporting data analysis management tools.High ethical standards and a proactive, business-friendly mindset.Relevant certifications to appear in Ethiopia Federal & Oromia Courts is an advantage.Business Lawsuits exposure is an added advantage.Amharic, English and additional local language knowledge is an advantage.TOPPAN is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
