The project is recognized as a key initiative under China’s Belt and Road framework and as a national strategic project by the Indonesian government, underscoring its importance to regional industrial growth.Job RoleThe Legal and Compliance Manager will oversee legal advisory, risk management, and compliance functions, ensuring OSS operates in full adherence to Indonesian laws, international regulations, and internal governance standards.This role involves drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, managing corporate legal matters, and leading compliance programs related to manufacturing and mining operations. In addition, the manager will play a pivotal role in internal audits, regulatory filings, and policy development, while supporting the Head of Legal and Vice GM. The ability to work fluently in Mandarin is critical for liaising with foreign stakeholders and facilitating seamless communication within the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesLegal Advisory and Corporate GovernanceProvide legal counsel across commercial, corporate, and operational matters.Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents.Ensure corporate documentation, licensing, and regulatory filings comply with Indonesian lawsCompliance and Risk ManagementDevelop and implement compliance frameworks and internal policies in alignment with industry best practices.Conduct compliance audits, risk assessments, and training sessions for internal teams.Monitor evolving regulatory requirements, particularly in manufacturing and mining sectors.Dispute ResolutionManage dispute resolution, litigation, and arbitration processes as required.Serve as liaison with regulators, government agencies, and external counsel.Cross-border CommunicationAct as the main bridge between OSS’s local operations and Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.Ensure smooth communication in cross-border transactions, compliance discussions, and legal negotiations.Candidate RequirementsEducation: Bachelor’s Degree in Law, licensed advocate is an advantage.Years of Experience: Minimum 7 years of extensive and consistent legal experience, including 3 years in managerial level.Specialization: legal background with experience in the compliance and regulatory functions.Industry: Manufacturing or Mining industry.Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of Indonesian corporate law, contracts, compliance frameworks, and dispute management.Professional Qualities: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills, and having the ability to lead a small team and work with senior executives.Language: Professional fluency in Mandarin and English (both spoken and written).Job Code: #402
