HCB Widdows Mason is seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Legal Assistant to join our New Build team. This role presents an exciting opportunity for individuals interested in supporting clients with the unique legal aspects of new build property transactions. Comprehensive training will be provided to ensure the ideal candidate is well-equipped for the position.Your key responsibilities will include:Assisting clients with inquiries related to new build property transactionsProviding updates to clients and keeping track of transaction progressOpening and closing files in compliance with firm policies and legal standardsConducting administrative tasks associated with new build transactionsPreparing and drafting legal documents, including contracts and completion statementsReviewing and checking property documentation to ensure compliance and accuracyCoordinating with developers, solicitors, and other parties involved in the transactionUtilizing the Land Registry portal for submission and handling requisitionsCalculating Stamp Duty Land Tax and assisting with financial arrangementsProviding occasional reception or administrative cover as requiredRequirementsProficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Strong organisational and time management skillsExcellent written and verbal communication abilitiesAttention to detail and accuracy in documentationA proven ability to manage sensitive information with discretionPrevious experience in property law or related fields is advantageous but not essentialBenefitsCompetitive salary dependent on experience25 days holiday plus Bank HolidaysHoliday bonus scheme ( up to 12 additional days leave)Pension schemeParking (on a first come first served basis)Comprehensive training and development opportunities including support to study for professional qualificationsCycle to work schemeFirm funded eye testsMedicash PlanNote for recruitment/talent agents/agencies - HCB Widdows Mason Ltd undertakes its own recruitment.
