Job SummaryWe are seeking a reliable and organized Legal Assistant to support our busy litigation team in providing exceptional administrative and paralegal services. This role involves managing case files, coordinating schedules, and assisting with document preparation to ensure smooth operations in a fast-paced law firm environment. Ideal for a detail-oriented professional eager to contribute to client success and team efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesOrganize and maintain case files, including indexing documents, tracking deadlines, and ensuring compliance with court filing requirements.Schedule appointments, depositions, court hearings, and client meetings using calendar tools like Outlook or Clio.Prepare and format legal documents such as pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and correspondence.Conduct basic legal research, summarize findings, and assist with trial preparation, including exhibit organization.Handle client communications, including phone calls, emails, and intake forms, while maintaining confidentiality.Coordinate billing, expense reports, and vendor payments; support office operations as needed.QualificationsExperience: 2+ years as a legal assistant or administrative role in a law firm; familiarity with litigation processes preferred.Education: Associate's degree in Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, or related field; certification from an ABA-approved program a plus.Skills:Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, legal software (e.g., Clio, Westlaw), and e-filing systems.Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with keen attention to detail.Excellent written and verbal communication for professional interactions.
