A listed multinational group, recognized for its global standards of governance and operational excellence, is establishing its regional headquarters in Casablanca to oversee operations in Morocco and across Africa.In this context of strategic expansion, we are recruiting a Legal & Compliance Officer to play a central role in setting up and structuring the company’s legal and compliance framework in the region.Key Responsibilities :As part of the founding team, the Legal & Compliance Officer will act as a cornerstone of the company’s operational launch in Morocco and Africa.Your main missions will include:Setting up and implementing the group’s compliance and governance practices at the local and regional level.Providing legal support to all entities and business units in the development of their activities.Managing and coordinating relationships with external law firms (in Morocco and abroad).Leading the CNDP compliance process and ensuring ongoing adherence to data protection and regulatory frameworks.Monitoring regulatory and contractual risks, and proactively proposing risk mitigation measures.Supporting strategic projects, partnerships, and business expansions with a pragmatic, business-oriented approach.Acting as a trusted advisor to management, ensuring that compliance serves both protection and growth objectives.Profile Requirements :Law degree (Master’s level or equivalent), ideally with a specialization in business law, compliance, or data protection.Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in legal and compliance roles within a multinational environment or leading law firm.Proven experience in CNDP filings and personal data protection compliance (mandatory).Strong understanding of corporate law, contracts, and regulatory frameworks in Morocco and internationally.Fluent English (spoken and written) – mandatory.Excellent communication, drafting, and negotiation skills.Entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to operate autonomously in a start-up phase and to build systems from the ground up.Team-oriented, adaptable, and able to collaborate across functions and countries.Why Join Our Client :Join a world-class multinational at the forefront of its regional development in Africa.Be part of the founding local team, shaping governance and compliance culture from day one.Benefit from direct collaboration with international law firms and group experts, ensuring continuous learning and support.Thrive in a dynamic, ambitious, and multicultural environment where initiative and excellence are valued.Location: Casa Finance City, Casablanca, MoroccoContract: Full-time, permanentLanguages required: English (mandatory), French (a plus)Application: CVs must be submitted in English to be considered.
