Legal Consultant

Job Title: Legal Consultant Location: Baghdad - Al-Mansour About the Job:To provide comprehensive legal support and guidance to the company, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, effectively managing contracts, legal disputes, and corporate legal affairs, while safeguarding the company’s interests and mitigating legal risks across all business operations.Main duties & responsibilities:Manage, audit, and draft all types of contracts, agreements, and legal documents.Provide legal advice and handle all company legal matters, including court cases (noting that he has judicial decisions issued in his name in this field).Oversee and manage the Legal Department effectively.Review, negotiate, and finalize contracts, including those with foreign companies and factories, and provide clear legal opinions.Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.Promote and follow up on transactions with the Companies Registration Department.Handle the registration and protection of trademarks and intellectual property.Manage the registration and legal aspects of commercial agencies.Represent the company before courts, governmental authorities, and other relevant entities as required.Prepare legal reports, risk assessments, and recommendations to management.Support other departments with legal guidance and ensure risk mitigation in business operations.Perform any other legal duties or responsibilities that may arise in the future.Required Qualification:Bachelor’s degree in law.Minimum of 10 years’ experience in law, preferably within a relevant sector.Proven experience in managing a legal department.Strong background in contract negotiation and litigation.Computer proficiency.Fluency in English is preferred.
