About the roleAs a Legal, Corp Sec and Compliance / Paralegal Intern (“Intern”) at The Great Room (“TGR”), you will act as a key support to the Legal, Corporate Secretariat and Compliance team by carrying out a variety of tasks that provide hands-on exposure to corporate legal work.A successful Intern will ensure that legal processes, documentation, and compliance measures are well executed to support the Legal team.The Intern will report to the Director of Legal.What you’ll do Contract Management & Legal DocumentationAssist in drafting, reviewing, and proofreading contracts, NDAs, and other legal documentsMaintain an organized repository of contracts and legal documentsTrack key dates and obligations in contracts to ensure timely complianceCompliance & ResearchSupport the Legal team in ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulationsConduct research on legal issues, regulations, and best practicesSupport the implementation of compliance best practicesCorporate Secretarial & Administrative SupportAssist with corporate governance matters, including maintaining statutory registers and filingsSupport internal policies review and implementationPrepare reports, summaries, and presentations for internal stakeholdersProjects & Continuous ImprovementSupport various legal projects and initiativesAssist in developing templates, checklists, and processes to streamline legal workParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency in the Legal, Corp Sec and Compliance functionWho you areRequirementsCandidates (whether polytechnic or university student) with a keen interest or in the midst of coursework for corporate law, compliance, or corporate secretarial practices are preferredProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointMinimum of 3 months, Full-TimeQualitiesBasic knowledge of legal, compliance and/or corp sec is helpfulGood attention to detail and proactive in contributingHave strong organisational and planning skillsGood verbal and written communication skillsSelf-starter with a good attitude towards learningWhat’s in it for youCompetitive remuneration5-day hybrid work weekBeautiful workplace environment that fosters collaboration and interactions with others from a diverse background of culturesOpportunity to work with various teams across regional locationsDoes this sound like you?Connect with us at singapore.careers@thegreatroom.co, with your recent CV.* Note to our talent acquisition partners: Unfortunately, The Great Room cannot accept candidate submissions from partners who we do not have an existing agreement with.
