From structuring credit programmes to navigating new markets, the Legal team ensures growth is secure, compliant, and built for the long term.We’re looking for a Junior Legal Counsel to handle incoming customer complaints for external dispute resolution platforms. You'll assist with early stages of litigation and work on pre-action letters and responses to claims, providing day-to-day legal advice as a business partner to key stakeholders.Up to shape what's next in finance? Let’s get in touch.What You'll Be DoingRunning internal fact-finding investigations, cooperating closely with other departmentsHandling external dispute resolution complaints in accordance with the local laws and regulationsRepresenting Revolut before external dispute resolution forums, such as the Bank of PortugalWorking on early-stage or less complex litigation, such as pre-action letters, responses to claims, case reviewsAssisting the Disputes team and Legal Counsels with ad hoc work and adviceIdentifying, analysing, and resolving issues, while helping to implement process improvementsAnalysing case outcomes to identify weak points to remediate themActively contributing to a culture where the fair treatment of customers is a prioritySeeking to go above and beyond the role by taking real ownership of problems from end-to-endWhat You'll NeedA bachelor’s degree or equivalent in PortugalLegal experience as a private-practice lawyer within financial services and/or equal in-house experienceFluency in English with exceptional communication and writing skillsAn analytical mindset to be able to investigate and get to the root of a problemTo be resourceful and know where and how to obtain relevant informationStrategic thinking skills to best utilise means of redress (refunds and negotiations)Solid problem-solving skills to use analysis and resources efficiently to resolve complex casesGreat attention to detailThe ability to excel both independently and in a team environmentExperience in fast-paced environments and making sound judgements under tight deadlinesNice to haveA lawyer's qualification or bar membership in PortugalFluency in other European languagesBuilding a global financial super app isn’t enough.
